History

WWE NXT was originally designed for "Rookies" to be paired with WWE "Pros".  WWE NXT was originally shown in the US on SyFy until it was cancelled and on various stations throughout the world.  During the later seasons, WWE NXT was shown on WWE.com, Yahoo, and Hulu.
WWE decided to change the format and use Florida Championship Wrestling superstars and divas and dropped the "WWE Pros".  On August 14, 2012, Florida Championship Wrestling was changed to WWE NXT.
